In most of our professional lives, we are judged by results. If I am to be fair to Russ Shewchuk and the IBEW I cannot ignore what he has achieved through his tenure as IVP. It is my genuine belief that a change at this juncture would be a mistake; the work done to date leaves us on the precipice of achieving even greater milestones. With the constant war for market share, the work done above the business manager level cannot be understated. Capital projects need tough negotiators that carry weight, and decisions made at that level need to be done by people who know the consequences. I believe Russ has the credentials to carry us forward and start increasing our market share again.
As a new business manager, I also weigh my decision with the quality of outstanding Union people that have come out endorsing Russ. People I regard with the highest esteem.
Even in the early stages of my tenure, Russ has been working closely with my local to achieve our goals set out in our own strategic plan. This work ethic and passion make my decision an easy one.
Russ will work to achieve our common goal, and I fully endorse the man, the plan, and the vision.
